Perianal abscess, that won't go away. Looking for help.

THIS SUCKS! I have yet another perianal abscess.

I've now had 6 of them, over the past 5 years. Each one reoccurring about every 7 months. I'm posting this to vent, let others know they are not alone, and looking for advice from those who may have beaten these.

I won't bore you all with all the details because their all about the same:

Day 1: Oww, my butt on the right side of my anus, hurts and is kinda warm. (I make my Doctor appointment)

Day 2-4: Right cheek starts getting swollen and more painful. (Get into Dr. they give me antibiotics, tell me to wait a week)

Day 5-12: Pain

Day 14: MORE PAIN

Day When ever the can get me in for surgery: Surgery

Day After Surgery: Start home care appointments where they, pull out and repack the abscess.

Day 3 to 5 weeks after (Depending on how much meat the surgeon took): Healed up.

Wait 7 Months and repeat.

I'm looking for alternatives if they are out there. And if you have one of these little buggers, (I can't post ******s) post below and I will respond. I can go into way more details, and let you know all the things I have tried.

Same place every time.
They have no clue why. I have seen 3 different specialist, in two different provinces. (From Canada)
No health problems at all. Physically fit in most all aspects of life, could stand to lose a pound or two.

Yeah, it took me 2 abscesses and then a fistula to realize this was all caused by Crohns, so I know how it is to be a little slow on the uptake, but surely someone should have mentioned Crohns disease, remicade, or the dangerous side effects surgery could cause to your perianal region??????
I've never had anything lanced or a seton placed. After my abscess ruptured and turned into a fistula, I've also had very little pain. For the most part, remicade (and pregnancy hormones years later) has prevented my degree of internal inflammation from increasing and so I've had no abscesses except for one that lasted less than a day way back in 2012.
If you have crohns disease and are on no meds for it, your body is inflamed and the abscesses are the symptom. Lancing it is treating the symptom, not your disease. If you do not have Crohns, (which I suppose is possible but highly unlikely) then you are just the unluckiest person in the world. :(

Ask your doctor for an MRI. When I got a perianal abscess two years ago, it was detected through an MRI. I was put on an aggressive course of antibiotics twice a day/ 3 weeks till I got delirium and a week after I started to complain again so I was put on antibiotic injections for 8 days. Had another MRI and abscess was claimed to have been cleared.
You could have a fistula or inflammation which nurtures the abscess.

My first Crohns symptom was an anal fissure that refused to heal.
6 months of agony, weight loss, and doctors telling my parents it was all just anxiety/eating disorder/hormones.
Too many people think that Crohns=diarrhea because of all those commercials for humira, but there's so much more to that. :(
I believe you have Crohns, which means you've had doctors playing around with your perineum who haven't taken into account all the risks to you.
I just had a scope. It came out clear, so much so that a crohns disease diagnosis would be hard to come by, but I still have an active draining fistula.
You just never can tell.
