What to do for muscle pain

I was diagnosed with a very mild case of Chron's about four yearsago and have not been on any meds for the last two years. During that time I have had minor issues with joint pain, muscle pain, and fatigue but nothing that I couldn't put up with and it did not effect my daily life. That changed about two weeks ago when the muscle pain started to get worse. For some reason it is only my leg muscles that hurt. It hurts when I stand up, it hurts when I lay down and it really hurts when I bend my legs.
I have an appointment to see my Doctor in two weeks but in the mean time does anyone have any suggestions on what to do for muscle pain. I've been taking Tylenol which helps a little but I know you are not supposed to take it for more than ten days.

Hi Dale,

Other than using things like a warm soak in a bath tub or shower massage setting, it's probably going to take medications other than Tylenol to get much relief. I have more trouble, disease-wise, with muscle and joint pain than gut problems these last ten years.

Generally it's not recommended for Crohn's patients to take NSAIDs like ibuprofen, but there are some of us who can safely take ibuprofen, and I'm one of those. I can't tolerate other NSAIDs though.

Some doctors will call in a small amount of medication until your appointment time.
