Pet Peeves Anyone? Heat? Post-remicade pleasantness?

Does anybody else get super annoyed when people misspell Crohn's disease?
I mean, we've all dropped the apostrophe now and again, but darn.
Why spell it chrons, especially when the forum says Crohn's disease? I try to be patient with newbies, but it bugs me so much when the same person repeatedly does it.
This occurs way too often on different forums and is on my top list of most annoying things.
Seriously, it's up there with people telling me to change my diet and ranting about big pharma.
On another note, how is everybody doing?
It is hot as balls here. Is there any truth to heat helping your condition?
My fistula has always felt more aggravated in the heat, but maybe heat is better for the rest of me?
I don't know about you guys, but I haven't noticed much of an improvement.
I've had some rectal pain and bleeding for about two weeks leading up to Remicade. And then after Remicade, I've had a TON of anal itching, like maybe my anal fissures are healing. Does anybody notice this happening after Remicade?
I wish I would heal, but when the remicade wears off, the bleeding and pain return. le sigh. And yet I have no active inflammation, so it's not really taken seriously.
Rectal pain is very dehabilitating, more so than diarrhea.

Nah, sfg, I've been on remicade for over 5 years and for 4 years I've been at the max dose for every 6 weeks. Insides are clear, but fistula remains, as does rectal pain. The rectal pain went away with 6mp, but it took forever and they made me go off of it when I was prego.

That's awesome! Yay for babies! My son is 9 1/2 months now, teething, and cruising around the coffee table like a boss!
I was pretty lucky with morning sickness. It only seemed to hit after lunch. Go figure.
I moved to Texas in July, but had to fly back up to New York last week to get my infusion because I couldn't find an infusion center here and didn't want to risk paying out of network remicade costs.
Can you imagine how $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ that would have been???
Now I have a new GI and new insurance. He wants to continue with remicade and have me see a colorectal surgeon. ughhhhhh
He was all, maybe we have a surgeon here who thinks he can cut the fistula out, and I was less than enthusiastic, but I'll probably go just to humor him and get confirmation that it can't be done FOR A THIRD TIME!

We are in Austin now and job hunting.
Unemployed still, but we have our own place and lots of family here.
I'm the opposite of most people who hate winter.
All I want to do is hide in our apartment and never see the sunlight or feel the heat.
I have to force myself to go outside a little bit each day. blargh
And I went with the GI with earliest availability.
He seems ok, but he never read my file before our first appointment because he was on vacation!
grrrrr But then he, personally, called me a week later to follow up! :O
I don't know if I'll have another baby. o.O
My mom keeps telling me that my baby is great and that the next one might be the total opposite!
