Does anyone have experience with Apriso?

I have been taking this for 2 years now after having a pill cpsule can diagnose my Chrohns in the terminal ileum. After many many years of not knowing what was going on with my body (over 20) and taking many tests some very painful and invasive procedures. In any event, I have been taking 4 Apriso capsiles in the morning before I eat and I don't think I am getting the same results that I was getting initially 2 years ago. Does anyone have a similar experience?? Any thoughts on what may work better? I know everyone is different but just hoping that someone has had the same experience after a few years of taking Apriso.

I seem to experience joint pains now as well especially elbows and shoulder. Started getting welts on my torso and thighs lately as well. Frustrated and depressed lately with this. Still have one BM ribbon type daily but sure use a bit of toilet paper to finish up the business. Is this common??

Studies are starting to show that the 5-ASAs like Apriso (which is mesalamine) are not much more effective than a placebo pill. I would absolutely find another GI. Studies show that the biologics, like Remicade and Humira, are working MUCH better.
