I started using MJ when I ended up developing a recto-vagina fistula after flaring literally for 23 yrs straight with no remission (either allergic or non-responsive to all the oral meds for my crohn's affecting my colon aka; crohn's colitis) I was in excruciating pain with severe constipation and still having bm frequency and had to wait a while to get in to see my GI so I resorted to smoking mj, don't regret it either, it's done wonders helping curb symptoms while "stoned".
Finally I saw my GI, he scoped me and sent me for an MRI to confirm where exactly the fistula was and put me on Humira, it put my CD in remission I still smoke and just applied for MMJ because although my CD is finally in remission for the first time ever, I still have IBS-C (oddly still with frequency) so that's why I applied for the MMJ, my IBS is stress driven and smoking mj helps. I barely ever smoked mj when I was a teen, I'm 48 (47 when I started smoking it regularly for my pain from the fistula and constipation and frequency plus I've always had insomnia so it helps with that too that's why I smoke it every night before bed and that's why I applied for MMJ...I was never really much of a drinker and only ever smoked mj as a teen, didn't try any other street drugs, so I wasn't thrilled about smoking pot (I smoke cigarettes) the taste and smell of pot is gross IMO but it helps with a lot of my issues that I have so I don't care, I smoke it and I love how much better it makes my body feel. You don't have to be ashamed or embarrassed, all that counts is that you feel better (as my GI says) he's on board with it too!
I hope Humira helps you as well, if you have any questions about Humira I can help you with that too, I do weekly injections.
