Got my first period,but how does it put up with all the meds?

Hello again people!
I got my first period yesterday.For a 33 kg 15 year old girl this is more than happiness!!!I thought i would never get it.Guess i'm becoming normal lol .The only thing that bothers me is my meds.I'm on Humira Imuran Vitamins Renitek and im scared because i know you dont have to drink pills while on your period.Will the meds affect it?Like will i bleed more or longer?I also have cramps,and i'm kinda pissed because i got used to not having any stomach pain and now this.But i'm still happy because i am growing up (physycally) and that's my main goal !

I doubt it will. I think as you know Crohn's already messes up our periods. I skip them with birth control because they just went so haywire. I would only get it for a day or two, really heavy for one day then none at all. Always messed up my stomach too. But I never had any of the medications really do anything to them.

A heating pad works great for cramps. I wouldn't worry about meds affecting your period. It's more the other way around - sometimes our Crohn's will get a bit irritated while we're on our period, but usually not a full-on flare. Congrats! I was about your age when I started, too (I was later compared to all my friends), but it was also years before I had Crohn's. So you're may be later than some of your friends, but definitely not out of range, if that makes sense.

Congrats! Def, you will have some cramps but you will figure out what calms the pain down. When I'm flaring up and symptoms are not controlled, I need to take a painkiller injection esp. on the first day after taking my GI's approval. When symptoms are at bay, I take antispasmodics and they work. Don't worry about medicines and I'm glad that you would feel normal and not different from your fellows.

Congratulations, I guess lol, I was excited when I got my first, now I can't wait until menopause kicks in cuz my monthly cycle is killer on my guts thanks to crohn's and having IBS as well (CD in remission, IBS still active enough causing my guts a lot of unwanted issues starting 10 days before my cycle starts and for almost a week after it ends so I really hate what my periods do to my guts.

heating pad was a really good suggestion
also eating potassium rich foods help with cramping including menstrual cramps (banana, apricot, cauliflower, potatoes...)
