Yeah, mine did that too.
Ruptured in August, tons of drainage, just like milking a cow, and then a month or so later, it closed up and stopped draining.
I got insurance and saw a GI in early December and she didn't believe me when I said it closed up.
Of course, it reopened again and stayed open until Remicade closed it up in July.
And then it reopened again in January 2011 and it's been open ever since.
My point is that a fistula can stop draining, but the tract remains, and will drain again if enough inflammation occurs.
But, of course, this is for Crohns.
