Nerve pain anyone????

I finally had my appt with gi this morning. I've been dealing with bad belly pain for over a month. After 2 ct scans and lots of bloodwork also 2 days in the hospital, they think they know why im having so much pain. They said due to having crohns I have inflamation in the nerves of my intestines and inflamation near the ileum valve. It causes pain and nausia. I've now lost 8 more pounds since Nov 1st. The dr started me on 20mg of Cymbalta and switched the Zofran to reglan. However it can take 2 weeks to start having some pain relief and 6 weeks for full effect. I was just curious if anyone else has had this kind of pain. Oh also my fissures are back. So now back to the good Ole sitz baths

What medication are you taking to treat the Crohn's?

I take methotrexate, budesonide, vit D, folic acid,and a new one cymbalta

I hope the Cymbalta kicks in and starts to help. I am a little worried reading your post, that if you still have inflammation on methotrexate and budesonide, that maybe you need biologics instead. With my current c.difficile issues, I am getting that old familiar right lower quadrant pain.....I don't know if it is inflamed near my surgery site or what is up, but it's not horrible pain like you are describing....I'm uncomfortable but able to function.

The dr is planning on doing a colonoscopy before Christmas. If things are bad then she will change up on my meds. She also said that she will make sure the one who does the scope specializes in patients with crohns. My ovarian cyst is also bothering me today, like really bad. Im wondering if it's on the verge of rupturing.
