Thanks @beave That sounds like it explains the burning since my inflammation was at the ileum. I don't feel dehydrated and I try to eat when I can - though I'm going to stick to applesauce and toast for the rest of today. But since there's diarrhea whether I eat or not and it only effects whether it's chunky or pure liquid.
I guess - since I've always been able to stop this kind of diarrhea and redirect with Imodium, if I'm able to stay hydrated should I not bother seeing a dr at all if it continues?
I guess I don't know, since I've never had diarrhea like this without being able to treat it or without it obviously being a stomach bug, if this is the Crohns or something else. And if it is, does it mean the Entocort is no longer working?
My fiancé is really worried and gets anxious every time I head down the hall and I'm mostly just tired of having the runs and the pain it's causing in my bum! The loud gut isn't necessary painful though it's not fun either.
Will continue to keep an eye out for dehydration symptoms.
If it continues, as Rose*flo suggested, you should let your doctor know and then have stool cultures run to test for infectious agents (c diff and others). If those come back negative, it would mean it's probably Crohn's doing it. And that would mean either you need to go back up to 9mg of Entocort or go on to something stronger (like Remicade or Humira) until you can taper off the Entocort without such bad d coming back. Having that much d should not be considered 'just normal' until all treatments are tried and failed.
