Anyone try taking TURMERIC CURCUMIN extract to help reduce inflammation?

I finally bought a bottle and started taking today with black pepper corns (instead of Bioperine). Anyone here take it and have any luck? or any side effects?

I bought a bottle. But then noticed it said something about not taking it if you've had gallbladder problems. Well I don't have a gallbladder. But if it still could make stones form in the liver or something? I don't know. Kind of chickened out.

I have been taking a pill that has a number of anti inflammatories for a few months. It's definately helped with other areas of inflammation but not sure it's impact on my gut. Other issues I was having included back and neck pains and headaches. All have been minimalized or eliminated. I take inflamm-less by Irwin naturals.

I heard some researchers discuss a recent study that showed that curcumin helped with ulcerative colitis - but not so much with Crohn's. And the problem was, in order for it to help with UC, the people in the trial had to take several grams a day of it - and that caused lots of side effects. So the researchers are working on a formulation of it that will reduce the side effects.

As it stands now, the amounts you will get in food or supplements isn't likely to be nearly enough to help any with Crohn's disease.

I was diagnosed with Crohn's back in Aug 2014 and taking LongVida (Circumin / TURMERIC) and Tripala Karpam since Jan 2015. I used to go ER for unbearable flare ups 2 to 3 times a year before but not since April 2015. Seems those Ayurveda Medicine helps.

I had to take the evaluation at Mayo Clinic last week & the results came with Crohn's confirmed, however there was a bit improvement in my CT CAT SCAN - Small Bowel Stricture than the previously taken CT SCAN.

I guess I am going to start the remicade soon and gonna stay with the same Ayurvedic medicines and Yoga as well.

Also I am doing Following Yoga practice (3 days in a week) since 2015. Hope Yoga and Ayurvedic helps me in a way.

I've been taking it for a couple of years now. I think it helps with my joint pain. I read a study that it can be just as effective as asocial. I think it's one a couple supplements that have helped keep me in remission.

Can you take it while taking prednisone?

That I am not sure taking curcumin with prednisone. But I am taking following med since Jan 2015 along with Longvida.

Pantoprazol, Ranitidin, Vitamin D3 50000iu, Fish Oil, Ferrex/Ferrous Sulfate and having no issue. Also I have informed this to my GI about taking Longvida and he didn't say any restrictions with it though.

Per Dr Sivaraman, it takes atleast 6 months - 1 year to see the improvements, so I guess that could be the reason you couldn't see the result in 2 months usage of Curcumin. Also I have told not to take any form of Caffeine, Dairy product but yogurt while I take curcumin.

Well, Siddha / Aurveda are the traditional medical practice have been in service for long time in India.

Personally I have seen many people using this and their issues have been cured. Also this has been approved by Indian government.
