Abdominal pain has become very severe lately. Whenever I have a bm, I have severe pain in my abdomen, and lower right and left quadrants. Yesterday, I was screaming out of pain and had to take an antispasmodic injection. I took also Imodium to slow things down. When I'm constipated, I have no pain. Now, as the effect of Imodium wore off, I have severe abdominal pain again.
I begged my GI last time to up the dose of Entocort but he refused. He mentioned that Remicade is normally very slow w fistulas and that the success rate doesn't exceed 65%-68%. He asked me to be patient. How come can I be patient and the pain has been escalating lately. I have been like this for months but I can't take it any more. I'll ask him tomorrow again to up the dose of entocort to 4.5 mg or even to prescribe pred. What did you take until Remicade started to be effective?
