Hi, I have been using Humira for 6+ years and it does help with the inflammation pretty good, but it seems to not last as long as before. I am doing injections weekly currently, but it only lasts about 4 days then nothing. Has anyone done bi-weekly injections? I have tried so many medications and the Humira is all I have at the moment till I can find something better. The remaining 3 days are brutal so I am looking at all options. Thank you in advance.

Are you taking an immunosurpressent with Humira like 6-mp?

I only lasted on Humira for about 4 months, I got to weekly injections and I think(was on lots of drugs at the time so I might be misremembering) my GI offered a script for twice weekly but I chose to move on because I was so itchy from Humira.

How are you checking the inflammation? Blood work? Or are they looking at the inflammation with a scope? I'd have to question how much the humira is actually helping the inflammation if the final 3 days are brutal.

Might be time to switch or add something else to it (like Imuran, 6mp, methotrexate). Humira didn't do much for me, besides give me migraines. I believe I was on weekly injections too before my doctor said it just wasn't working. Switched to Cimzia, same effect. Was taking I believe bi-weekly shots of that one. Helped a bit, but not nearly enough.

I have RA, and was on Humira for five yrs with fabulous results, and then it quit working. Now I'm on Enbril and it seems to be losing its effectiveness. I guess these biological s must have a shelf life, because this seems to be a common theme.
