I have had crohns of the small bowel for many years which returned in the junction of the resection site. My last colonoscopy was done by a Colon screening doctor who said it looked like my crohn's was active. He said he seen ulcerations and sent in samples of those areas to get biopsied. I did have the results sent to my reg GI. The report came back showing no cancer, thank God, and no crohn's, atleast not in my large intestine. So I asked him, then what are the ulcerations he seen? After reading, he shrugged, and said he didn't know?
What could they be from?
Personally I think they are bile acid lesions.
Since my surgery. and for many years till now, I have had nothing but diarrhea, and I have told the doctor that my diarrhea is acidly painful, at last something is showing up that can explain that bile acid diarrhea can hurt and can cause damage to the point of ulceration, and isn't just something little thing, that doctors forget to mention before surgery?
Actually cholestrymine does work to some degree, but I cannot take it because of the stricture. Can't win.
