I have been getting worse now for the last month with urgency, cramps and bad pain that is either sharp on the right upper side or heavy all over my abdomen.

The problem is that my blood work is coming back ok, crp 10 and I am having a hard time convincing my doctor how bad it is, since he and the ER docs cant seem to look beyond blood work.

I feel like my body is making a fool out of me :/

I am on humira 40mg every other week
Have you been through a rough flare but ok blood work?

What's the normal range for the CRP on your tests? Mine are always .75, so really 10 is high. I've had readings of 5.24 and 24.03, both were considered high. How is your WBC count and platelets counts? Mine are always elevated and my GI doc says it's due to inflammation.

With all that said, some people never show their flares in their blood work. So no they can't just go by that. It's just lazy of the doctors to not take you seriously. You might need a scope to see how your disease is doing. So don't feel like it's in your head, and keep pushing for answers.

I have always had low blood work readings still my disease was active and eventually developed a fistula. Agree w Jen that you should ask to have a scope performed or even a CT or an MRI. If not, seek a second opinion.

Thank you. 10 is high for me. But I have had it in the 100 range but that was due to other infections on top of crohns.

I am talking to my nurse today she is ordering a scope

Just had a scope and my colon is inflamed almost all the way through and it came as a surprise to my doc due to my blood work being so fine. Now I am on Humira every week for a month then another check up with GI
