I was diagnosed with Crohn's 4 yrs ago at the same time I was also diagnosed with CLL. Now I've never had issues with going to the bathroom but one day I picked up something heavy and felt a rip in the anal area. Dr said it was a fistula needless to say if this dr would have used a seton we might not be where I am today. He cut it open not once but twice and I got so bad infected I bled out and was rushed to the hospital. They threatened to cut out colon but it didn't happen. They gave me Remicade. So from then on I have to take infusions every 8 weeks and it's a double dose the largest my dr said ever given. I have had many many skin cancers removed the last 2 yrs. 2 days ago my WBC is at 124,000 now and THAT Dr wants to give me Rituxan. He admitted he has NEVER administered this drug to someone who is CURRENTLY taking Remicade. And that scares me. Does anyone anything about this. Shouldn't this Dr not just ASSUME it's the CLL and run a test to see if that's it before giving me another drug that may or may not react well with my Remicade.
