Wbc 13,500?

In a flare and Doctor said she is worried my wbc is 13,500. Anyone elce have this? They put me on entocort. Any advise on lowering?

An elevated WBC means your body is fighting disease. From what I understand, anything over 11,000 is considered elevated. Not sure where 13,500 sits on the scale.

I haven't had a normal WBC in years. lol It can be from inflammation, infection, and from medications like steroids. I just checked my last blood test and it was 15,000. If you haven't been on steroids up until now I'd probably say it's the inflammation, which is why they put you on Entocort.

So the entocort is doing something because the pain is less but earlier I had started feeling nausea and a feeling of urgency and so I had some D and large amounts of gas that caused soreness in colon area for awhile but the nausea went away. Has me stumped???
