I haven't been posting because I had been waiting and waiting and waiting.
Anyway, I finally found a new doctor that takes my insurance and waited over a month for my appointment which was this morning. Of course, my old dr hadn't faxed my records over so I had to show him from the MyChart app on my phone. He looked at my MRE report and said "This is positive, it's an absolute confirmation of TI Crohn's - mild perhaps, but confirmation." He said further testing was unnecessary, other than blood work. Here's me relieved since the MRE was traumatizing.
So, because it's more mild and he wants to see my blood work, and Entocort was SO effective for me, he is trying Mesalamine (Apriso). I know I've seen a lot of you post that you don't think it's effective but he's cautious (though not unwilling) to treat me aggressively if this does not work and after the side effects of the Entocort, I'm willing to try. I told him I was concerned the options would be do nothing or go back on Entocort and he said he wasn't unwilling to use others but we'll proceed cautiously. The medical center I was seen at is also doing a clinical study for a new treatment that I may be eligible to participate in so if so, I'll try that too.
The also gave me a stool sample kit so that'll be my fun adventure on Monday!
