Thanks everyone for your replies! I haven't yet had a chance to call the PCP - it has been a busy week, and my kids have been sick.
@Habs - I've been thinking hormones, too. And breastfeeding. I just don't remember being this hungry with #1! Granted, by this point I started flaring and having other problems, so it's a bit different. I have an OB appt today to get my depo shot, so I will ask the nurse if it's common or not. However, your comment made me freak out slightly and I made my husband go to Walgreens at 10p and get a pregnancy test, lol! I do have some fruits and vegetables, I just can't add really any more. I have an apple in my oatmeal at breakfast, then lettuce on my sandwiches at lunch, and usually some sort of vegetable with dinner. Any more than that, and I'll start having cramping, bloating, and tons of foul-smelling gas.
@NCOT, I think my meds are okay. Just nexium, zyrtec, cyclobenzaprine. I do the depo provera shot every 3 months, and of course Remicade. And no, definitely not any extreme diets at all. Half the reason I'm a heavier Crohnnie is because of swings like that from pred and IV nutrition.
@petitarte, I had to laugh at eating something small every 3-4 hours - if I had my way, I'd eat every hour! :) I was doing that, but it seemed to make no difference in my hunger levels. I don't have tons of protein, but I do have some - ham on my sandwiches, and there's some sort of meat in dinner. I can't handle nuts at all, or Greek yogurt. Cooked fruit is still a bit hard on my system, and I don't drink tea for religious reasons. Bananas constipate me really quickly when I'm in remission. A lot of my diet is what it is because is a balance of my safe foods.
