hi im robert i have had crohns since i was 9 years old and ill be 43 in NOV.

I was just looking for abit of insight. Is it possible to have symptoms with no inflammation?

everyone with this is so different. i also have severe ibs.

Need a bit more info.

What symptoms? And have you had recent tests to confirm that there is no inflammation?

My commiserations for having this disease so long by the way :-/

your typical crohns symptoms, pain and diarrhea with feverish aches. I guess it could be a mix of crohns and ibs, i suppose.
yes, in july a ct scan showed no inflammation with prior inflammatory changes in the bowel wall. i had a small bowel resection about 10 years ago and even with that i never felt much better, just avoided a blockage.

since i always feel ill, but i suppose there isnt always inflammation.

oh my liver is inflammed and i have gallstones. i read crohns can cause liver inflammation....

No idea, but it does sound like IBS. My son and his dad have always had the inflammation one place or the other. My son gets painful and swollen joints and when he has a crohns flare up. His dad also had the inflamed liver on and off.

just seen my GI this morning and he said yes you can have symptoms with no inflammation.

CT scans never show anything for me, then they get in there with a scope and find a ton of inflammation. So I don't know if I'd necessarily go by just a ct scan.

Did you have a colonoscopy lately? I used to have symptoms stronger than what the scope showed (always had mild ileocolitis). It turned out that these symptoms were right and that my Crohn's was acting up from beneath and I developed a perianal fistula.
