To start I'm also Diabetic. Since Memorial Day I have been on Cipro and Flagy which I believe got me out of the hosiptal from Crohns. I have noticed of late that I'm am losing feeling in my hands and finger tips, as well as my feet and legs. I also get this tingling across my back like little electric shocks across my whole entire back, from top of the back to the bottom of my back. I googled Cipro and Flagy and notice that neuropathy is one of the side effects as well as a class action suit against them as well. Of course generics don't fall under that, but anyway I was kind of shocked that this was one of the side effects. I have not taken them for the past two days to see if anything improves or not. I also just took my Cimzia shot yesterday as well. I currently feel so wiped out, depleted of all energy. Just typing this seems a struggle, but i just wanted to see if anyone has experienced the same or not and if I should mention it to the doctors because this Cipro and Flagy has made me feel somewhat good again, and my options are stretched super thin right now.

definitely tellyour doctor. I had neuropathy every time i used flagyl. i ended up having an allergic reaction to it as each time i was on it i would develop more issues to it. my doctor at the time told me it was a good idea just to not ever use it again because of the nerve damage it can do regardless of the allergy issues. luckily every time my symptoms went away not long after stopping. I developed tendonitis from cipro in both feet to the point where i could not walk for over a week (up there with worst pain of my life experiences) it's a black box warning tat i only learned about after i got it. That still occasionally acts up about once a year. I know its a horrible trade off with these drugs because they, especially the flagyl really helped me too.

I can't tolerate flagyl and cipro caused me before esophageal bleeding so I don't take them. But I experienced peripheral neuropathy before. I know the feeling you're describing. Mine has been caused by the combo of Crohn's, long-standing GERD and taking Nexium for many years. This has led to my stomach's lack of the intrinsic factor and its inability to absorb B12. I have taken intensive B 12 injections every week for a month, then monthly for 6 months and then my GI told me they have to be monthly. So, I have been taking monthly B12 injections for more than a year now.
Definitely, you have to bring it up to your doctor's attention and hope you feel better soon.

How are you now? Are you sure it's the medicine that's causing the numbness? Is your diabetes under control? All the best to you!

I was getting peripheral neuropathy from Anti-tnf meds including Cimzia. I can take antibiotics without any neuropathy issue.

This started after I had a reaction to Remicade and had to switch from it. Tried Humira, Simponi and Cimzia with all the same peripheral neuropathy effect. A few months after I stopped the Anti-tnfs the neuropathy went away.
