Thanks for posting. I agree with you, this does sound encouraging. It seems that the posts I've read here though haven't been overly positive for anyone who has transitioned to Entyvio. The results from the trials are extemely successful, even with those with prior anti-TNF therapy.

Thanks for posting. It's encouraging to read. I had my 3rd dose two weeks ago and have been trying to remind myself I have to be patient!

Issue with entyvio is that it takes many patients up to a year to get remission
At that point many have given up on the therapy

Woah, that's much better than the usual doom and gloom I have read about Entyvio not being as effective for Crohn's as for UC on these boards. My GI praised it, saying it was as least as effective as Remicade for Crohn's. I do trust his judgement, so I did wonder where he got his info from.

I'm willing to stay on Entyvio for a year. I did with the Remicade and I was much iller back then.

Basically this extended study says that people who respond to it do well on it for a long period of time. Which bodes well for me, as I've been on it for 2.5 years and am doing well. But not everyone responds, or not everyone is stable enough to be able to wait long enough for a response. For what it's worth, despite the lack of positivity about Entyvio on these boards, I have been doing well and my GI has been prescribing it for many patients and is generally happy with the results, at least as compared to anti-TNF's. And the safety profile has been great in study after study.
