I tried 6MP, RemicadeEr, you've tried most of the better ones already. But you could try another biologic, such as Humira, Entyvio or, in the near future, Stelara. Humira is an anti-TNF like Remicade, but you are less likely to have a severe allergic reaction to it, as it's made up differently. Remicade is a mixture of human and mouse antibodies, and some people react to the mouse component. But Humira is made entirely of human antibodies.
Entyvio is a pretty new drug on the market. It targets the gut more specifically than either Remicade or Humira and, so far at least, is considered to have far fewer side-effects. Stelara has only just been approved for the treatment of Crohn's in Europe and deffo won't be available yet.
I'm getting a bit ahead of myself however, as you've already said your stricture is caused by scar tissue. Still, it's helpful to know med options for the future...
I'm guessing the main reason why your surgeon doesn't want to do dilation is because often the results aren't that great or long-lasting. But you can have more than one dilation if necessary. If you still want that surgical consult in the UK, I'd recommend looking up St. Mark's hospital in London or the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford. Both are top hospitals for GI stuff. My hospital is pretty good, but I dunno if it's as good as those two.
PS: I used to go to St. Mark's, because it was actually my local hospital. Unless things have radically changed, don't expect good people skills there. But you can definitely trust their clinical judgement.
