Lately I noticed even half a bottle of Heineken gives me issues the following day.
Anyone recommend a good beer for Crohns? Thanks

I'm an avid beer drinker, but can't comment on beer for Crohn's. However, I do remember reading a study that showed benefits from red wine. I believe it had to particularly be merlot.

I feel like beer probably causes the most GI problems for people generally (outside of doing one too many liquor shots).
I generally avoid mixed drinks as most of them are high in sugar. I do regularly drink red wine without issue, although more recently I will get a migraine if I have more than three glasses. I also drink very dark beers without issue, although I rarely have more than 1-2 in a sitting.

I just remembered. While not sure if there's any benefits, Guinness is considered to have a higher iron content. That might help with offshoot issues.

Sorry to be a Debbie Downer, but Alcohol is an inflammatory and should be avoided by us Crohnies.

Tequila. There is an actual medical reason for this but I can't remember it but it is the only alcohol I can tolerate. Patron silver

I just read about
tequila as well. I don't drink beer, and alcohol scares me so much during a flare! You are brave! But, I do think that gluten plays a role in worsening my own symptoms. Maybe a gluten free beer? Seriously brave...
