Remicade body aches and exhaustion

Have had 3 infusions and now wake up with body aches and feeling of no sleep. Extremely tired throughout the day. Don't feel medication is working or benefiting in anyway due to my extreme fatigue. Can anyone else relate or do they have answers?

Have Dr. Appt. next week but waiting means suffering and tired another week. I suspect and will ask to not continue Remicade. Humira didn't do anything either.

yes! you could be having a reaction to the med i.e. serum sickness. you should contact your doctor.
what kind of pre meds are you getting? are you on any other crohns meds? do you have any improvement between infusions?

I started getting body aches after several months of remicade but oddly enough sometimes it actually helps the aches. Im not willing to give up the drug yet because it helped my crohns which i was a half step from surgery before it.

I can relate in some ways. I get body aches, and like Lab, the Remicade infusion can also seem to make them better. I know that my infusions are still helping me though so definitely different in that aspect.

Please let us know what you find out. It is only thru the sharing of information that others can learn.

Talk to your doctor. I had horrible aches/joint pains after the infusions and stopped after 2. It looked like I had drug induced lupus. It took a few months for it to all clear up.
