I think NCOT is giving the drinks a bad name.
I've been on the elemental 028 drinks, and they don't taste that bad at all. I ended up freezing them as well - it tastes just like ice cream then.
As for the reintroduction diet, have a look at the LOFFLEX diet. Introduce foods on the LOFFLEX list for the first few weeks, then if all is well, do a new food 4 days, twice a day at least.
Keep a food diary and note down your symptoms.
Where are you based? If you are in the UK, it's not always pushed, but some specialist dietitians are aware of the method.
No, I'm not giving the drinks a bad name. I had a lot of drinks left over, so my mum ended up pouring them down the sink (we would have taken them back to the GP surgery or hospital but they wouldn't have reused the drinks, even if un
opened and still in their shrink packaging). My mum said just the
smell of them was revolting and made her gag.
I refrigerated the drinks by the way. Chilling them made their vomit smell and taste not one whit better. I don't mean to be disgusting but in a way these drinks are pre-vomit: but instead of food being broken down in the stomach, all the 'food' elements have been broken down in the lab.
I don't think I have insanely oversensitive taste buds either. I could drink hundreds of Fortisips without much issue. I'm not a particularly fussy eater by a long shot - I'll eat almost anything, provided it's actually edible.
