I know i have a lot of inflammation going on. But ive never had this much abdominal pain and discomfort with my period before. Like i literally couldnt sleep last night. Is this normal to hurt so bad. Ive never had bad period cramps. My period pain is usually leg pain. Sounds wierd..i know. Also before my period started i would have D like 6-8 times a day and now its only twice a day. Im having a colonoscopy/endoscopy next week so hopefully we will know whats going on with that. But is it common to have such major pain while on period with crohns acting up? My last period in february wasnt like this. I only seem to have a period every other month.

Bucko, when I did not have a clear cut diagnosis for the last 9 years, I used to get very painful periods that necessitated taking painkiller injections on the first day. When I was put on Remi last year and it started to kick in, I could bear pain up and didn't take any painkillers. Yes, inflammation affects menstruation. I started a flare up 2 months ago and since then period pain has been unbearable.

Minnietoty...thx for responding. I was hurting sooo bad but i knew i wasnt gonna go to er for extreme period pain. Esp now that i know it was probably due to flaring too. I didnt have any pain meds so i just took 2 gabapentins that knocked me out so i could at least sleep some.
