Entyvio and a Newborn=Crazy July!

I had my beautiful Remicade baby on Thursday and I'm home now. We're both doing great. Phew!
This csection was much better than my first.
I got a call yesterday saying that I was approved for Entyvio so I made an appointment for Monday for my first loading dose.
And then today, I get another call saying, whoopsie, according to your GI, we can't start you on Entyvio until July 10th at the earliest.
grrrrr
FINE! But why can't you bums talk to each other about these things BEFORE you call me?
Let's just add it to the list of things that are going on in July
July 3rd - Pelvic MRI
July 10th - Entyvio
July 12th - Colorectal Surgeon Appointment

Has anyone here had a bad reaction to the first loading dose?
I noticed on a different forum that people talk about joint pain. Is this an Entyvio side effect?

Congratulations on your little one!

I started Entyvio last August. I felt pretty fatigued for the first couple of doses, but then it's been fine. I did develop some joint pain and finally this spring it let up. The nurse at the infusion clinic said they see that in some Entyvio patients--they develop joint pain and then it clears up.

Entyvio is the first med I've tried that's had tolerable side effects. It's definitely slow acting. I would say after 4 months I felt 60% better and felt about 85% better after 6 months.

I really hope that's the case! I've joined two Entyvio fb group, Entyvio Warriors and Entyvio Mommas, and joint pain seems to come up an awful lot. Some end up taking imuran or methotrexate for it, which I soooo do not want to touch.
I haven't had joint pain since I was a kid and I don't want it to come back, especially since I'm a teacher.
