I just started Stelara. Remicade gave me drug induced Lupus...extreme joint pain. How long will it take for me to see that Stelara is working?

It dependson what your symptoms are. I switched from Humira because it was not working. After my initial Stelara infusion I saw immediate improvement--less blood, less frequency, more formed stools. And I have continued to improve the past 3 weeks since the infusion--I'm successfully weaning off prednisone and sleeping through the night without toileting. So I'm judging based on my reduction in symptoms and my success in reducing my prednisone.

I did very well with the loading dose but am currently flaring again ---immediately following my 2nd dose. Things seem to be getting a bit better but I added IVIG. So disappointing. But I've tried all other biologics so I have to have faith Stelara will put me in much needed remission.....4 years of flaring is a long time.

Infusion was great for me, shots have done nothing (2shots so far, 3rd is September 4th) I have flared for 12 years a with no break!!!!! Blood every single day!!!!!! So infusion with pred, I was better (no formed stools)
Going for a scope in oct/nov. trying isatis cooling to see if these Chinese herbs are ahead of the curve on helping inflammation, cuz western meds have done nothing for me

Scope will tell me if Stelara is helping. It's been disappointing so far. I have tried, remicade. Humira. Entyvio, 6mp, every 5asa and antibiotics except Vanco. No remission.
It might be the best for you. I hope so!!!
