In early 2011, I trailed Humira for my Crohns, in hindsight and re we not l wiser in hindsight,
Should not of done it and my Gastro and other doctors and I mean doctors should of picked up the high risk of this.
History of 3 small bowel sections in 1995, chronic staph type of sinus’s infection since 1998
Only 3 antibiotics has any effect on infection ln the lab path test and that is only in lab as nothing kills what is in sinus, Lack of blood flow to sinus doesn't help there,
Under Chronic pain management for it and related issues to Crohns as in Inflammatory arthritis otherwise called Enteritis is.
After asthma serve Bronchitis like chest infections which led to R and ICU admissions in 2011 and 2013 and now serve nerve issues, which standing or using fingers is near on impossible. Which no other doctors I have seen in 6 years including Gastro ad IBD clinic at one of the so called top hospitals in Melbourne Australia did not make a connection and instead kept trying to get me to use even more immune suspresents like drugs.
It came down to a Neurologist of al people to make the connection.
Not happy with many other medicos at present, or the drug company's who are pushing this type a drug as cure for IBDs etc, well frankly it is not.
Just typing this post is hard to do with fingers nerve impacted at Elbow, Nerve conduction studies done recently were far worse than 5 months ago.
What if any others who have had similar or same side effects done about
this,
A frankly my immune system is stuffed. Not my words.
Not after any miracle cure or left wing answer, heard them all in past 25 years.
When you have swollen salivary gland in throat and others in throat and on tongue and eating is extremely painful Just think of a cyst or pimple on your skin and put it on the base of tongue or at the back near tonsil and imagine eating food .
No oral medication of pain from Endone to Codeine to Oxynorm, OxyContin Valium do not work.
Fentanyl or Norspan patches don't help either.
Well they do on original reason prescribed for, but not this. Side effects are not worth it though especially with no benefit. Anyone with Crohn may know that risk of bowel blockage is higher the more binded up one gets, had two of those already.
Trying to arm myself with some information before I talk to my Nuro again and pain Doc later in week as I am to have what I called d IVG infusions to try and help my immune system, but that could be to till late September.
I do not wish to go into hospital for a month, had enough of that in my time to last 3 people’s lifetimes, 4 to 5 months in 1995 was enough, had planter of another admissions too.
In Australia it has been made legal for doctors to prescribe Medicinal Cannibals, I know someone with MS who has and is using it and it h helped her. But try to get a doctor here to give it to you, Govt has so they claim no guidelines for it. Is that answer, who knows, do not know enough about
it?
