I guess my body didnt have enough to contend with

I woke up yesterday with a sore throat. Yes very common to happen. Of course i had to get a flashlight to look at my throat. To my surprise the uvula (thingy that hangs down in back of mouth) was very swollen and had blood blisters all over it. So of course i went to pcp. Turns out i have bacterial uvulitus. So i have to take antibiotics...levoquin. This puts me at risk for cdiff, which ive had a few times. Since ive started taking this medicine i have begun nausia and vomiting. Man did vomiting burn my throat. Its still burning. Could the vomiting be an allergic reaction to the medicine? Im allergic to a lot of meds. Has anyone here ever had bacterial uvulitus?

Ugh, not fun! I am so sorry. I always get really sick with antibiotics, too. I don't think it's an allergic reaction - it's really common to get nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea with antibiotics. I would suggest calling your PCP and getting a prescription for Zofran to help. And like @therearemiracles said, Florastor is the best probiotic for fighting c. diff.

I have periodontal disease and the absolute best thing I've used to control the bacteria in my mouth is rinsing with hydrogen peroxide every.single.day. i use a solution of half water/ half peroxide.
