Do i have Crohns disease?

Hi everyone, i am new to this forum. this is my first post. First off i have an appointment with a gasteroenterologist on sept 11th. I am just wondering if this sounds like Crohns disease to any of you. For the past 3 yrs I have these bouts where i wake up and my hands feel like theyre asleep. Kind of a flushing feeling. Then i get up and i have zero appetite and am nauseous. I lose weight like you wont believe. I am also unnaturally tired. and i get sores on my tongue. I also get this anal fissure that is tender. My left side gets uncomfortable to. so much so that i went in and got an xray. The doctor saw an unusually large gas bubble there. Now i dont have constipation or diarreha. And as the day progresses i feel better. by the evening i am hungry and feel normal. I went to a naturapath and she did so many tests on me. She said i have SIBO. so she put me on .....Glutamine forte, vit D, vit A, Vit B-12, Boron, Lyseine, adrenal px, D hist, pro biotics. I took this for like 3 months and felt great! unlike i have ever felt. Then i started weening myself off all the stuff and right before christmas last year i woke up and there was the tingling feeling in my hands. Well it came back and i was miserable again. i lost 10 pounds in a week. So after this long story (sorry) i am curious if people think this sounds like Crohns disease or maybe its SIBO? the weird thing is is that i dont have crazy bowels and it is only really bad in the morning and then slowly gets better as the day goes on. I know Crohns is different to everyone....but....i have never read anyone getting better as the day goes on. Thanks for any responses. I am at my wits end over this. It is very disruptive and uncomfortable.

Unfortunately, until you have the proper diagnostics done, there's really no way of telling if you have IBD. You could have a multitude of things from food allergies, to lactose intolerance, to gluten sensitivity, to IBS. You really need to get into see a GI and have upper and lower scope with biopsies done to know for sure.

To take a speculative guess, it doesn't sound like Crohn's to me.

I agree with 73monte. This could be lots of different things, with Crohn's being only one of many possibilities.

You need to see a real MD and have lots of blood work done, then perhaps some stool tests. You can start with a primary care doctor but you will probably need to see a gastroenterologist at some point.

They're seeing a gastro on the 11th September..

It doesn't sound amazingly like Crohn's to me, but that's what the gastro is there for, topic creator. You should have a full blood count done, followed, most likely, by a colonoscopy and a small bowel test such as a MRI scan or pill cam. If worst comes to the worst, you can try all the stuff again which worked last time. But I would try to find out what's wrong first, if possible.

What exactly is worse in the morning? Only your GI can give you the answer about whether it is crohns. It doesnt sound like it but there are many of us that have atypical presentations of it so best not to rule it out. During flares I would consistently have times of the day that were worse than others, usually it was the evening when i felt worse though. There are certain pains that I have that I wake up with and they slowly get better as the day goes on. These happen independently of flares and I haven't been able to find an explanation for them since there is no consistent trigger.
