Hey Mark: They tried formula feeding. I have been doing a lot of research on ketones, they for sure block the
NLRP3 inflamasone, another big effect is they block lactate dehydrogenase,they also inhibit histone deacetylase.
You can do all of this with ketone supplements, I believe so perhaps no need to be over restrictive with a ketogenic diet. Histone deacetylase can inhibit NfKb, so you can see where I am going with this.

The condition of the patient further deteriorated and therefore on 07 November 2014 exclusive formula feeding was initiated. At this time mesalazine, multivitamin, vitamin D3 and calcium were discontinued. Pantoprazole was discontinued within two weeks. Formula-based nutrition resulted in the resolution of abdominal pain but other symptoms persisted
