Pain has returned but worse than before

I don't know what to do. My belly pain is now worse than before like an8 or 9 on a scale to 10. I really don't wanna go back to the hospital. Plus it hurts so bad that I can't drive. I swear it feels like labor pains. Plus I've been in the bathroom like 5 times in the last hour. BMs are loose and a lot of mucus. Sorry tmi. What should I do?

Do you have an on call GI that you can contact? It doesn't sound like an obstruction if you have had loose stools 5 times. Did they do stool cultures while you were in the hospital last time? Maybe you have an infection brewing. Make sure you stay hydrated. If it doesn't resolve and you can't talk with your doctor, you might do best going back to to the ER. I'm so sorry you are in so much pain!

They only tested for cliff which was negative... Thank God. This pain comes in waves but never goes away. I also feel like I could throw up too. How do you know when it's a real emergency and should go to er? I just don't want them to think I just want pain meds.

Well I'm off to the hospital. I took a vicadin and still hurting. I've now had 10 bms. I keep y'all updated.

Well I just wasted my time going to the er. All they did was give me bental and toredol. Then he said to follow up with my gi dr to have further testing done like a colonoscopy or pill cam. Until then I have to deal with the pain.

I hope you can reach your GI's office in the morning tomorrow. Ask for stool cultures. You might have a non c.diff infection like salmonella or giardiasis. When is the last time you had diagnostics like the colonoscopy and pill cam? The ER really can 't do much for Crohn's unless they give you fluids for dehydration or admit you for an abscess or an obstruction. Sorry you are having such a rough time. Push fluids and stay on very low residue foods until you figure out what's going on.
