I had a scope this morning and was told Entyvio is failing. There is a 7 inch section above the rectum that is inflamed and showing active disease. At the top of that there is a stricture. Both sort of surprise me since I haven't had any pain in that area but I have had bleeding and lots of excess mucous. So after I see the CSR on 3/12 and get that whole mess sorted out we will switch me to Stelara.
Why I'm seeing the CSR -- ano rectal vaginal fistula. My GI said the likely options are surgery to sever it and close it off or an ileostomy. Well I know what my preference is but I have to leave that to the expert I fully trust my CSR and his opinion will likely guide my final decision.
Off to read up on Stelara.

Lamb, maybe the Stelara will help. I sure hope so. Try to keep things together until you see your surgeon, I know easier said than done.
Take care.

The reviews of Stelara seem to be much, much better than Entyvio. I think you'll very likely have much better results going forward with Stelara. Good luck, hope things improve soon.
