pain in left arm after IV

What is best for pain after an IV? I told the nurse my veins in my left arms were small. After a fourth of the IV he took the IV out and I came home, it has been 5 days and my arm still hurt. What shall I do?

Hi Takingrisk, other than pain are you having any other issues with your arm? Perhaps you can get in to see your primary care dr & have your arm checked. I have problem veins & often the IV’s infiltrate & cause a lot of pain. Perhaps trying some Tylenol for the pain. Call your dr.
