I'm usually pretty skeptical of anecdotal evidence, but I'm aware, clearly, that there are a number of folks on here that have seemingly had significant benefits. I'm also on the SCD diet, so I sometimes practice what I don't preach. That all said, I fear I'm having another serious issue with my Crohn's and I'm about to reach wits end.
Are there any studies out there that suggest that smoking marijuana is beneficial to Crohn's patients? I did a search on this website, but I mostly got people's personal stories, which while interesting, aren't really medical evidence.
I would even take a (somewhat) scientific explanation as to why people think it may work, that would be helpful to me. Honestly, I haven't smoked in tens of years and I have no desire to walk around high (or even just be high at night, to be honest), but I would do it if there's a real chance it might provide me with some relief. Any thoughts on how often, how much, would also be appreciated.
