PLEASE HELP:blood in stools and horrible pelvic pain (as bad as kidney stones)

I have been having horrible pelvic pain to the point that I can't tell when I'm passing a kidney stone or when I just have to poop (and sometimes I don't have a BM for another 24 hours). I've also been having a LOT of blood in my stools. The doctors took blood yesterday (3 freaking sticks) to check if I'm going into a flare. Does anyone have pain like this? What helps? My toradol does nothing (that's the clue that it's not a stone). One day, the pain lasted 24 hours before I actually went to the restroom... that was the day the blood started. It started out slow (just streaks on the stool) and got to the point that it looked like I had my period every time I used the restroom and it takes several times wiping to get all the blood off my behind.

I'm just confused and scared. I haven't had a scope in over a year and if I'm not flaring, I'm scared that there might be something seriously wrong. I don't feel like it's a flare because I'm not having mouth sores or head sores. I am autistic and have severe anxiety disorder and just don't know what to do while I'm waiting for answers.

We did a course of steroids as my SED rate and C-reactive protein were very high and it helped the bleeding but not the pain. Then we treated with dulcalax, which made me sick but relieved SOME of the pain but I'm still having horrible gas pains. I'm also terrified that the horrible pain will just come back out of the blue like it came the first time.

At this point it's too difficult to speculate. You need to have some diagnostics done asap. Colonoscopy, MRE, or even a CT if necessary. What maintenance meds are you currently taking?

The bleeding can be from several things. Sometimes minor issues like small tears in your lining from hard stools. None the less, anytime you're passing blood it's a concern that needs to be checked out thoroughly. Hope you're feeling better soon.
