Sorry for tmi

Hi, I posted a while ago about the troubles I was having getting to see my consultant. I am not officially diagnosed but my doctor is adamant I have IBD. My colonoscopy a few years ago was clear However my symptoms are bad and calprotectin stool test always comes back high. It's been 650+ and most recently it was 300 (Nov 18). All tests for h.plyori have come back negative. I am sending in a sample today for a new one as my symptoms have worsened. I finally have my appointment with the consultant on the 14th but I have a problem. I am always constipated and since Friday my poo has been black. I went to the doctors yesterday and they sent me to the hospital to check for bleeding. I spent the whole day there and had no tests done only to be told by a junior surgeon my problem is reflux?!? I'm in a lot of pain and this morning my poo is black with red chunks in and absolutely covered in mucus and looks like a grease film. It also has a FOUL smell but not a poop smell. I don't know what to do please can anyone advise me . Thanks.

Hi thanks for your reply. The consultant is the specialist who sees you. It will be a gastroenterologist specialist which I'm guessing is a GI? but we don't call it that here. I have an appointment with him on the 14th so I'm hoping some tests will be arranged. I'm just concerned because the waiting lists here are crazy. I waited over a year for the colonoscopy last time. I had an upper endoscopy done in Nov 17 aswell where they found inflammation in my stomach and small intestines but they only tested the biopsys for h.plyori and not Crohn's. I had a follow up appointment which they cancelled and rebooked twice which where also cancelled. my doctor's put in for an urgent referall again in Nov 18 and finally it has been booked for the 14th June 2019. So well over a year from the scope to the follow up appointment! It's unbelievable and in the mean time I'm having to suffer daily. I'm on the NHS so I can't choose who I see or what hospital I go to unfortunately.
