I just needed to share with someone how grateful I feel today. I was approved for social security disability! Not bragging or anything just grateful that I have this financial benefit. My husband works construction so we've been on pins and needles worrying what would happen if he got layed off. At least now we know we can survive...

Another thought. With how hard it usually is to get disability, it's scary how messed up I must be to get it on the first try.

Lamb congrats on getting awarded SS disability. Like you, I did not have to go through the appeals process either. I filed back in 2004. Although my gi was confident I would get benefits it didn't help my nerves much. Don't think of it as how messed up you are, you simply have medical issues that makes it impossible to be a productive member of the workforce. I totally understand what a huge relief it is for you & your husband.
