Had both a colonoscopy and an endoscopy more than 2 weeks ago where I suffered a lot from severe abdominal pain after the test. I learnt that the abdominal pain was caused because of the multiple biopsies that were taken. I have chronic non-specific esophagitis and chronic non-specific ileo-colitis. When I asked my GI about the results, he informed me for the first time that he suspected something malicious with my esophagus but after the results were out, there wasn’t anything to worry about; chronic esophagitis as has been the case for 15 years. Up till this moment, I really feel perplexed: thankful that it wasn’t malicious and shocked that it could have been. Also the results of the scope are weird for me. For more than 8 months, I have suffered from my rectum and the biopsy results didn’t reveal anything to be more complicated with my rectum. My intestines, however, from which I did not complain, had ulcers. We agreed that I would take my Remicade infusion this time 5 days earlier and I will have to have infliximab trough and antibody levels before the infusion.
