Background: I’ve had a jpouch for several years with rediagnosis to crohns recently, as well as fistulotomy.
Issue: I’ve had constant stool leakage which I assumed was from the fistula/setons for over a year.Had the setons removed and a very minor fistulotomy months ago, but still leakage. (To the point I cannot go without having gauze between my cheeks to catch it). But I’ve also had frequent abdominal (mainly belly button and lower region) bloating/distention, sometimes after eating and sometimes not. Often even when I have to urinate, my lower abdomen near my pelvis below my belly button blows up and feels hard. Also Sometimes I feel like I have trapped air or even still some stool left after using the bathroom. It sounds dumb but it almost always feels like my insides are just “hanging” there with no internal support.
I’ve gained weight slowly the past few years and I figured I was just getting a little fat (I’ve always been very thin) but I’m suspicious. I’ve wondered if it could be undiagnosed celiac or jpouch prolapse maybe?
The bloating and distention is annoying but my main concern and complaint is the anal stool leakage. I still have continence but there’s so much leakage it’s bothersome and It’s gross and I have to change gauze several times a day every day.
Any advice or experience input is appreciated
