Stelara, Skyrizi, or Entyvio next?

Hello all,

I recently stopped taking Humira due to it being unsuccessful. My doctor is recommending that I start either Stelara, Skyrizi, or Entyvio next. Not sure which one is the best option for Crohn’s Disease.

Any feedback on these drugs, or which one would be the best option to start next would be appreciated.

Sorry to read that Humira stopped working for you. Below are my thoughts if I were in your shoes for the next step.

Stelara would be my first choice, it has a good established track record so far in getting people into remission. It's been around longer than the other two for crohns. Potential side effects comes with all of our meds. In many instances the side effects are temporary.

Entyvio would be second choice.

Skyrizi I cannot comment on because I haven't seen anyone come through here that has taken it.

Did you respond initially to Humira and then lose response, or did you never have a good response at all?

There was a study done for people who didn't respond at all to anti-TNFs like Humira. It showed that those people usually don't get a good response to Entyvio either, but that Stelara still shows good odds of working for them.

Skyrizi is similar to Stelara, maybe even slightly better in some ways. Your insurance will likely have a large say in which they approve of Stelara or Skyrizi.

straydog- I appreciate your thoughtful response. I have heard good things about Stelara as well.

beave- I would say that I never responded well to Humira (no remission, minimal symptom relief). Great info, I will do some more research on both Skyrizi and Stelara. Thanks for the insightful response.
