Hello,
My daughter has been diagnosed with Crohn’s recently. She is receiving a Remicade infusion,
When she got her induction doses, the doctor checked the level of medication on her system, it showed 4,5 which was low,
but her symptoms were getting better, CRP, ESR… all the markers where ok.
We did 5ml every 8 weeks. After the levels of Remicade went down, 1.2 , The doctor increased the dose 10ml still kept every 8weeks.
Feb 9 before getting the infusion the from a blood , her CRP was elevated 10.2 , also we found out the level of Remicade is <1,5 which means there is no medication on her body
The good thing she don’t have antibodies.
I am very confused and worried
need someone’s help… what is the right thing to do in this case?
The doctor said we can try to do 3 induction doses again, and after repeat every 4 weeks with a dose of 10ml to see if we can see any improvement with bringing back the medication otherwise we have to change the medication to Stelara, since the Humera is from the same family as Remicade .
Please if any doctors can advise
She just turned 11
so worried
