So I had my double scope wednesday. Nodules down below, and grade1 varices in the esophagus. That's a new one for me. My liver dr. Wanted that checked since I was determined to have liver disease in the last year. They apparently form when blood flow is diverted from the portal vein in the liver due to scarring from cirhosis. Since I have never had even a sip of alcohol, its assumed to be from the years of TPN. Which btw will be 24 years at Xmas this year!π. These varices are described as varicose veins in the esophagus at the point where the liver wraps around it. yay for me!
