Chron’s in the Proximal Small Bowel?

I finally got a capsule endoscopy, which showed “scattered few very small erosions/ulcers in the proximal small bowel” that was the only information given. Nothing seen in the terminal ileum.
Previously in the past 6 weeks I’ve had an MRE that was clear, and a colonoscopy that showed one very small 2mm ulcer on the terminal ileum.
I have a follow up with my GI in 4 days and we will discuss further.

I’m wondering if others have this type that is mainly in the proximal small bowel?

Is Crohn's a new diagnosis for you?

I ask because for me.. and several people in my support groups... Crohn's will start in one place and then we developed it in other places also.

I've had it impact both my small and large bowel. It's development is not in a linear fashion. It can develop in different areas. I had hoped my case would stay in my large bowel only but unfortunately that didn't happen for me.... but that's not to say that won't happen for someone else.

Back on September 2, beave gave you some excellent information. Proximal is the duodenal area. You are stuck in limbo because all of the extensive you have had done the findings are not enough to give a definitive dx. It sucks when this happens to a person.

@Clo, click on the OP's name & read about all of her history rather than her having to repeat everything again.

If you are not satisfied with your gi after you see him in a few days, you can always go for a 2nd opinion.
