Today I read an article that says eating a lot of vegetable oil (including both soybean oil and corn oil) contribute to increased inflammation in the gut and may lead to colitis. It is better to switch to Olive Oil. The smoke point for the two oils are similar.

I was just talking with my mum about
this. Interesting! I’m seriously thinking of switching to olive oil and am nowadays cooking all my food in the air fryer with the least possible drizzles of oil as I’m flaring up badly.

Can you post the link to the article, I've not read anything about
this. I do not eat fried foods, veggies I cook really soft.

IAC, I have deleted your post, this is your final warning for posting links asking for donations. You have been warned repeatedly about
this & know the rules here.

The link you deleted was found on the Arthritis Foundation website. I didn't see any request for contributions but now reading it again I see in small print at the very bottom of the page a request for a donation.
I thoroughly read the following links here and don't see any reason for these to be deleted.

High consumption of soybean oil has been linked to obesity and diabetes and potentially autism, Alzheimer’s disease, anxiety, and depression. Add now to this growing list ulcerative colitis, a form of inflammatory bowel disease, or IBD, characterized by chronic inflammation of the large intestine.
