My previous post was about
a severe abdominal pain that I had in my lower right side. Finally I could see my GI. He told me that I have a reaction to the laxative I had taken (prucalopride). Btw, I had taken this laxative before and it didn’t cause any problems. He mentioned that taking it for 2 successive days after having the reaction made the side effects severer and that I would take some time for the pain to subside and my colon to return to its norm. This is day 7 and the pain is really unbearable. He put me on two antispasmodics and solpadeine. I don’t know what’s wrong with my body. First, I developed an allergic reaction to Remicade and now to a laxative. How would I as a patient know that this is a reaction? I told him that I thought it was a flare up. It turns out that severe abdominal pain is not only the result of a flare up /:
