Had an MRI that showed I have a subcutaneous fistula. For more than a month, I still have perianal pain and itching and took 4 antibiotic courses and failed them all. When I saw my GI, he mentioned that the treatment for this fistula is non surgical and referred me to the CR surgeon. The surgeon refused to treat it and told me that given it is caused by Crohn's, Crohn's meds should treat it. I'm really mad at doctors. Did anyone get a subcutaneous fistula and how was it treated? Sitting, walking or even sleeping exacerbates the pain. I'm really thinking of switching to alternative medicine.
