I don't want to get sick

I have to fly tomorrow and my white blood cell count is low - I'd love tips on how to avoid getting a cold (or worse!) from the other passengers.

I've heard about airborne, and that I should wash my hands often.  Any other ideas?

Im sure it would be a TOTAL long shot but you could call the airline and tell them you are flying immuno-suppressed and ask if there is any chance of being bumped to business or first class, or to be not seated near children. If you get nowhere calling you could ask when you check in and when you board. If anyone is sneezing or coughing near you request a seat change for that reason.

Bring nasal saline spray! I know there are small enough bottles out there that can still be brought on the plane. Get the cheapest generic you can becuase they are all just salt water. If you can not find a bottle small enough to be allowed on the plane, get a travel bottle and fill it with saline from cheap contact solution. Sound gross, but snort a little out of your hand or pour on a tissue and wipe inside your nostrils.
I get a cold everytime I fly. But if I spray with saline throughout the flight, I manage to avoid the colds. The dryness allows all the little buggers to invade I drink a ton of water too. I have not had a cold from a flight since I started the nasal spray though. A friend with deviated septum issues introduced me to the idea...she uses it every day. I use it all winter now with the drying heat that blasts in our cold winters.

It might be kind of fun to wear a mask just to see the reactions you'd get with the recent scare of tuberculosis of that lawyer who flew back from overseas. Then again, it might not be so fun to be an outcast.

But actually, from what I've read, It's a really common thing in many Asian countries. People wear masks on planes all the time there.
