Just wondering how your recovery is going? Has your wound started closing up yet? Hadn't seen an update lately and was wondering how you were doing.
God Bless,

Hi Nanners,
I just saw my surgeon, or rather another surgeon as mine is on vaction, yesterday. I'm still on the wound vac and was hoping to be off by next week so I can start my classes. Looks like it's not going to happen. Not healed yet, will still need the vac for another week or two.
I'm feeling better physically, I don't need pain meds anymore, I just take them at night to help me sleep. If I ever get healed enough to get out and about
I'll go see my GP and ask her for some sort of sleep aid.
I'm not on any meds right now, finally got off the prednisone and so they stopped the protonix also. I'm not going to see my GI until I'm realeased from the surgeon and home health. Not sure if he'll put me on maintenance drugs or not with my liver enzyme history.
I'm a little depressed still, especially now that I can't start my classes. I'll try to reach my professors and see what their policy is on missing classes, maybe I can start a class or two behind if they give me the syllabus and reading assignments. I picked once a week classes on purpose, wanted more time to be able to work (which isn't happening any time soon either).
I've also not lost any of the weight I've put on since this all started (30 lbs. and was already a little over weight), and probably won't until I can get out and walk.
So, thank you for asking, I'm still hanging in there, watching too much daytime TV, and getting tired of my own company, lol. There does seem to be a light at the end of the tunnel, but it may be too late for this semester which I can't afford at my age.

Judy, I'm sorry to hear you're still down. It's been a very long road for you this time. I know there isn't anything, anyone can
say or do for you, only to be safe in the knowledge that we all think of you. Maybe now with the pred gone, at least mentally
you may begin to feel better. I know how much you hated that stuff, and who knows, maybe you'll start healing a little better
too. Keep heading towards your light at the end of the tunnel. Thinking of you, LOL

My thoughts and prayers remain with you. Hope that you can get out and about
soon.
Do you have anyone who could pick up your books and reading so that you can do it now while you have the time --- in between all that wonderful daytime tv
